Drouin Collection: Quebec Parish Records (1621-1940)

The Drouin Records, also known as the Drouin Collection, contain digitized images of Quebec parish records, including baptism, marriage and burial records, along with a variety of other historical documents. The collection primarily covers Quebec and French Acadia, with additional records from parts of Ontario, New Brunswick and the northeastern United States.

What the Drouin Collection contains

The Drouin Collection includes the complete Quebec civil registration collection from 1621 through the 1940s, available under the Fonds Drouin folder. Its extensive coverage makes it one of the most important resources for tracing individuals and families who lived in Quebec during this period.

The Quebec Catholic registers and other parish records in the collection document key events in the lives of ancestors through baptism, marriage and burial records. Original records may provide valuable genealogical information, including the names of parents and spouses, places of residence, occupations and witnesses to an event.

How to browse Quebec parish records

The Drouin Collection records are organized by location or parish and then by year. To find a record, select the relevant territory and parish, then browse the register images for the period you are researching. This approach allows you to explore Quebec parish records directly and view baptism, marriage and burial records in their original form.
